Great hotel next to a fab pub ... Very clean although a peculiar aroma in the corridor ... Like a stale air freshener .... Room was very clean, and fresh, and more towels supplied when requested Very pleasant and courteous colleagues around the hotel Breakfast was o converted meeting room which was compact, but the breakfast server and cook were excellent and cooked to order so it was fresh and hot (brilliant) Overal a great stay here
The hotel is in a good location, if you don't mind a walk into town. Amy on reception is amazing, she is so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!
I can't lie I've been to many a Premier Inn, but I love this place. I'm coming from London - only here for a wedding - so my expectations were very much a check in and check out experience. The people that work here are an absolute gem. I was told I was a touch too early for my check in, but Emily sorted me out - even sorted my ironing board. Next up we had a pre-wedding occasion to get to and Ian hooked us up with the best way to get to our venue. Nothing tops Chris though - our boy. The night was over, but Chris kept it going. The conversation was flowing, the ciders from nowhere - honestly he's an all timer for guest relations. His knowledge of the local area was unmatched, his honesty (which wasn't overly corporate) was so appreciated. He just felt like one of the lads. We love you Chris.
We booked here late in the afternoon after our other plans fell through. We were exhausted and the receptionist was super helpful, arranged a room on the ground floor for us, and helped with takeaway recommendations and also brought it to my room when I'd fallen asleep. Bed was comfy and the place was quiet. There's a pub nearby but we didn't make it there. Nice candy vending machine in the lobby if you're needing chocolate :)

Booked this late 26/5/25 arrived just past midnight 27/5/25 the guy on reception was so helpful, after a long and tiring day the room allocated was perfect with great views. Best night sleep in ages, would definitely book here again and highly recommend
The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, but come on premier inn, still getting blank spots on your WiFi. In this day and age really.
